Kalulu is an offline speech-to-text application developed by Chipenda Kalulu. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data. The short version: Kalulu does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Kalulu does not collect any personal information. The app does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to use its features.
All audio recordings and transcripts are processed entirely on your device. Your voice recordings are never uploaded to any server, never shared with third parties, and never leave your phone. Once you delete a recording or transcript within the app, it is permanently removed from your device.
Images captured using the document scanner are processed locally on your device using on-device OCR technology. No images are uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
Kalulu works fully offline. The app does not require an internet connection for any of its core features — transcription, document scanning, or saving transcripts. An internet connection is only used when processing a subscription payment through Google Play.
Kalulu requests the following permissions:
None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data externally.
Kalulu uses Google Play's billing system to process subscription payments. Payment information is handled entirely by Google and is subject to Google's own privacy policy. Kalulu does not have access to your payment details.
Kalulu does not use any third-party analytics or crash reporting tools. No usage data is collected.
Kalulu is intended for users aged 18 and above. The app does not knowingly collect any information from children.
If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
